Our Passion for Making a Difference
The Friends of the Linda Vista Public Library is an all-volunteer, member-supported, non-profit organization that supports the library community through advocacy, fundraising, and book sales to provide critical support for the branch and larger library system.
We are one of 33 chapters of the larger Friends of the San Diego Public Library. The FSDPL is a California Nonprofit Corporation, and holds the 501(c)(3).

If you're interested in serving on the board, you must be a current member of the Friends. We're always looking for committed individuals to serve. Officers include President (or Co-Presidents), Treasurer, and Secretary. We are also looking for general members who are interested in helping out!

Board members as of April 2024 are:
President, George Wargo
George was born in Linda Vista. He has been active in the LV Friends since 2010 and works for our County Health and Human Services Agency.

Treasurer, Christa Gush
Christa has been a member of the Friends of the Library since 2013. She currently works in a corporate librarian role.
General Member, Darrell Burrow
Darrell is a retired tech professional with a passion for supporting libraries.
